Product Description
Eddy Mark IV Heat Gun Replacement Brush Kit:
Each Eddy Mark IV heat gun has two brush holders, one on the top side of the housing and one on the lower side. Each brush holder contains a carbon brush, pressure spring and a brush holder cap the holds the spring and carbon brush in place. We use a brushed motor set in each heat gun. The carbon brushes in each brush holder are what completes the electrical circuit and ultimately turns power on to the motor. The carbon brushes are forced on the motor armature (rotor), with the springs, held in place by the brush holder caps. Without these parts, the heat gun will not run. Over time, as the carbon brushes make contact with armature's copper commutators, they'll wear out. The armature is spinning at 7200-7500 RPMs. Our carbon brushes are made and fired within the United States, and have a continous use lifespan well over 4 years. Very well made! For questions on how to insert the carbon brushes correct, please go to the "Contact Us" tab and send us a message with
