Product Description
The Eddy Mark IV Heat Gun Cover is a durable, protective component designed specifically for Eddy Products’ Mark IV series heat guns, including models like the EP-3ULM, EP-5ULM, EP-6ULM, EP-7ULM, and EP-1100 Plus. Crafted from G.E. Lexan 940A Resin, a 10 MFR polycarbonate blended with fiberglass, the cover is flame-retardant, mold-released, and UL-approved, offering exceptional impact strength and resistance to rough handling. It encases the heat gun’s housing, protecting the internal components, including the break-resistant mica heating element and motor, from damage. The cover features molded labels for the OFF-COLD-HOT toggle switch positions, ensuring clear operation of the heat gun’s unique three-position Eaton toggle switch, which allows for hot, cold (fan-only for cooling the element), or off settings. The double-jacketed nozzle and shield integrated with the cover help maintain cool exterior temperatures, enhancing safety during high-heat operations (500–1200°F or 260–650°C). Lightweight at approximately 2.75 lbs (including the gun and stand), the cover contributes to the tool’s ergonomic design, making it ideal for industrial applications like heat shrinking, paint stripping, and woodworking. Its robust construction ensures long-term durability and supports the heat gun’s two-year parts and labor warranty by preventing damage to critical components.
